Recap: Apollo Hawks vs. Paradise Valley Trojans
The Apollo Hawks lost against the Paradise Valley Trojans back in November of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Apollo took a 42-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of Paradise Valley. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Apollo in their matchups with Paradise Valley: they've now lost six in a row.
Paradise Valley's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Savana Blazina, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Blazina has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Kollie, who scored seven points along with six rebounds.
Apollo has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for Paradise Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season.
Apollo will look to defend their home court on Monday against Sunrise Mountain at 5:30 p.m. As for Paradise Valley, they will head out on the road to square off against Ironwood at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Ironwood is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home.
