Football Game Preview: Booker Kiowas vs. Wildorado Mustangs

The Booker Kiowas will take on the Wildorado Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Booker has three straight wins, Wildorado has nine straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Friday, Booker humbled Boys Ranch with a 58-12 victory. The Kiowas might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by 46 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Wildorado's offense. They had to suffer through a 66-0 loss at the hands of Claude. While losing is never fun, Wildorado can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 261st, while Claude is ranked 68th).

Booker's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Wildorado, their loss dropped their record down to 0-8.

Everything came up roses for Booker against Wildorado when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 73-28 win. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Mustangs' Blu Washington, who picked up 133 receiving yards and one touchdown, and also punched in one score on the ground.
