Basketball Recap: Riverwood Takes a Loss

Riverwood played a tough contest on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by the River Ridge Knights 73-12. The Raiders have struggled against the Knights recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead River Ridge to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kayla Cleaveland, who made all 7 shots she took racking up 16 points. Another player making a difference was Finley Parker, who posted 11 points and five boards.

Riverwood's defeat dropped their record down to 4-18. As for River Ridge, the victory was the 19th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 22-1.

Riverwood will face off against Lassiter at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Riverwood is facing Lassiter at the right time seeing as Lassiter is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for River Ridge, they will challenge Pope at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in River Ridge's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 19 games.
