Baseball Recap: Georgetown G-Men vs. Williamsburg Wildcats
Georgetown came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 12-2 to the Williamsburg Wildcats. The G-Men were not able to make up for their defeat to the Wildcats from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.
Georgetown saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bryce Winterod, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI.
Georgetown's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Williamsburg, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.
Coincidentally, Georgetown and Williamsburg will both be playing Clermont Northeastern the next time they take the field. The G-Men will host the Rockets at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Wildcats will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on the 11th.
