Basketball Recap: Napavine Comes Up Short

Napavine and Adna squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Napavine had to settle for second. They fell 44-33 to the Pirates. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Pirates this season, with their most recent loss being a 49-40 defeat back in February.

Despite the loss, Napavine still got an impressive performance from Hayden Kaut, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and 16 rebounds. That was a full 54.5% of Napavine's points, marking the fourth time in a row Kaut has posted more than a third of the team's points.

Napavine's loss dropped their record down to 21-8. As for Adna, they pushed their record up to 24-2 with the victory, which was their 24th straight at home dating back to last season.

Napavine has already played their next contest, a 59-47 win against Reardan on the 8th. As for Adna, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 73-66 defeat against Northwest Christian School on the 8th.
