Basketball Game Preview: Lawrenceburg Tigers vs. Greensburg Pirates

Lawrenceburg hasn't had much luck against Greensburg recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Lawrenceburg Tigers will face off against the Greensburg Pirates at 7:30 p.m.

Lawrenceburg is headed into the contest having just suffered their biggest defeat since January 25, 2024 on Thursday. They came up short against Greensburg, falling 61-37. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 119th, while the Pirates are ranked ninth).

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Jordan Mock, who posted seven points. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kamryn Ferreira, who had 12 points.

Even though they lost, Lawrenceburg smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in seven consecutive games.

The win keeps them at an undefeated 21-0. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.2 points per game. As for Lawrenceburg, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-8.
