Baseball Recap: Ridgemont Comes Up Short

Ridgemont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 8-2 to the Allen East Mustangs. If the Golden Gophers were looking for revenge after losing 16-3 to the Mustangs when the teams met back in April of 2021, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Ridgemont saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kody Kiser, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. That double was Kiser's first of the season.

Ridgemont's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Allen East, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-4.

Coming up, Ridgemont will head out on the road to take on Arlington at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Allen East, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Ada at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.25 runs per game on average), something the Mustangs will no doubt try to take advantage of.
