Canyon had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top against the Yorba Linda Mustangs by a score of 3-1. The Comanches haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Canyon walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 16-25, 25-21, 25-20.

Yorba Linda's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coincidentally, Canyon and Yorba Linda will both be playing Foothill the next time they take the court. Yorba Linda will head out to face Foothill on Friday, while Canyon will play them later in the day, at 6:00 p.m.
