Baseball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Oakridge

While Oakridge didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-14-1), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They beat the Colton Vikings on Saturday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 11-6. The victory was nothing new for the Warriors as they're now sitting on three straight.

Mason Hogue was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayden Tiller, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Oakridge's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-2. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Colton, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Oakridge will host East Linn Christian Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Colton, they will venture away from home to challenge Scio at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
