Volleyball Recap: Otsego Beats Genoa Area for Their Third Straight Win

Otsego barely beat Genoa Area the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Knights blew past the Comets 3-0 on Thursday. Winning may never get old, but the Knights sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Otsego walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-16, 25-19.

Reese Genson paced Otsego's offense, picking up eight kills. Genson got some help from Cassie Bunde and her 25 assists. Emma Dahms controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Otsego's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Genoa Area, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Otsego will head out to challenge Ottawa Hills at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Genoa Area, they will take on Margaretta at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
