Basketball Game Preview: Industrial Cobras vs. Edna Cowboys

The Industrial Cobras are taking a road trip to face off against the Edna Cowboys at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Industrial will bounce into Friday's game after beating Hallettsville, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. Industrial enjoyed a cozy 50-35 win over Hallettsville on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cobras.

Meanwhile, Edna blew past Yoakum, posting a 63-29 victory. The Cowboys have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 25 points or more this season.

Edna is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.9 points per game. As for Industrial, they pushed their record up to 18-10 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Industrial lost to Edna on the road by a decisive 39-24 margin in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. Can Industrial avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
