Game recap: Honesdale High School Football Team defeats Mid Valley

THROOP, Pa. - In spite of trailing Mid Valley (Throop, Pa.) 18 points, Honesdale (Pa.) surged back to grab a 28-18 win over Mid Valley (Throop, Pa.) Saturday.

The Spartans pulled ahead on a touchdown, and subsequently went into halftime leading 18-7. The Hornets scored the winning points with a touchdown run by Kyle Carney that came in the fourth quarter.

Despite scoring six points in the third, Honesdale still trailed by five points going into the fourth quarter. But 15 points in the fourth helped HHS pull out the victory.

The Hornets didn't take the lead for good until the the fourth quarter when Carney ran for a touchdown.



Honesdale also won the meeting between the two teams last season, 13-6.

With the win HHS extended its winning streak to four games.
