Softball Game Preview: Mesa Jackrabbits vs. Dobson Mustangs

However, someone's due for a change in luck on Thursday. The Mesa Jackrabbits will host the Dobson Mustangs at 3:45 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Mesa fell victim to Red Mountain and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 14-0 to the Mountain Lions. Having soared to a lofty 26 runs in the game before, the Jackrabbits' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, Dobson came up short against Skyline on Tuesday, falling 19-2.

Dobson saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kiley Beard, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Dobson's defeat dropped their record down to 4-18. As for Mesa, their loss dropped their record down to 3-10.

Thursday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Mesa has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .436. However, it's not like Dobson struggles in that department as they've averaged .436. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
