Preview: Harrison Wildcats vs. Mt. Healthy Fighting Owls
The Harrison Wildcats will be playing in front of their home fans against the Mt. Healthy Fighting Owls at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Mt. Healthy took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Harrison, who comes in off a win.
Even though Harrison has not done well against East Central recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Harrison managed a 52-48 victory over East Central.
Donovan Mckain was the offensive standout of the match as he scored 18 points along with five rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Luke Rogers, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds.
Meanwhile, Mt. Healthy's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They were dealt a 61-25 loss at the hands of Middletown. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Mt. Healthy has scored all season.
Harrison's win bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Mt. Healthy, they bumped their record down to 2-12 with that loss, which was their sixth straight on the road.
Harrison skirted past Mt. Healthy 56-53 when the teams last played back in December of 2023. Does Harrison have another victory up their sleeve, or will Mt. Healthy turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
