Florence waltzed into their contest on Saturday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They managed a 31-27 victory over the Natchez Bulldogs. This was a revenge game for the Eagles: when they faced off against the Bulldogs on January 3rd, they had to take a 38-34 defeat.

Natchez's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of RONIYA ELLIS, who posted 11 points and three steals, and CALEAH KENNEDY, who scored 11 points and six boards. That was a full 40.7% of Natchez's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's put up more than a third of the team's points. HOPE GUTTER was another key player, putting up two points.

Florence pushed their record up to 8-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Natchez, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Florence will square off against North Pike at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
