Volleyball Recap: Ravenswood Red Devils vs. Sherman Tide
Ravenswood was the 2-0 winner over Sherman when they last played one another back in August of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Red Devils fell just short of the Tide by a score of 2-1 on Thursday.
In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Ravenswood sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-22, 10-25, 15-10.
Sherman's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Sophia Rollo, who had 11 kills, 11 digs, and two blocks. Rollo has been hot for a while, having posted seven or more kills the last 42 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Emma Russell, who had seven digs and three aces.
Ravenswood's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Sherman, their victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-1.
Coming up, Ravenswood will challenge Buffalo at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sherman, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Scott on the 18th.
