The Hokes Bluff Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Gaston Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. The timing is sure in Hokes Bluff's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Gaston has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
After only 21 points in their last matchup, Hokes Bluff made sure to put some points up on the board against Saks on Monday. Hokes Bluff was the clear victor by a 55-35 margin over Saks. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Hokes Bluff has posted since December 8, 2023.
Gaston suffered their biggest loss since December 12, 2023 on Friday. They were outmatched by Sand Rock at home and fell 51-15. While losing is never fun, Gaston can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 393rd, while Sand Rock is ranked 84th).
Hokes Bluff's win bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Gaston, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost nine of their last 11 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season.
