Baseball Recap: Paxton Comes Up Short

Paxton lost against Donelson Christian Academy back in March of 2016, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Paxton Bobcats lost 18-6 to the Donelson Christian Academy Wildcats.

Phillip Bearden made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 1-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Case Moore, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Paxton's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Donelson Christian Academy, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Paxton Bobcats face off against Pensacola Tigers at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Paxton has given up an average of 6.9 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Donelson Christian Academy, they will square off against Freeport at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Freeport will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Donelson Christian Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
