Baseball Recap: Fayette County Comes Up Short

Fayette County suffered their biggest loss since February 17th on Thursday. They lost 10-3 to the Northside Rams. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Rams this season, with their most recent defeat being a 2-0 loss last Monday.

Brayden Unger made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. That double marked the first that he hit this season.

Fayette County's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Northside, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fayette County will welcome South Lamar at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Northside, they will face off against Deshler at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Deshler: 2.3, Northside: 3.3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
