Basketball Recap: Isaac Bailey Key Part of a Team Effort in Wildcats Win

There's no place like home for Bunn, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They came out on top against the Franklinton Red Rams by a score of 52-40 on Friday. This was a revenge game for the Wildcats: when they faced off against the Red Rams back in December of 2024, they had to take a 46-42 defeat.

Bunn got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Isaac Bailey out in front who posted 13 points along with eight rebounds and five blocks. Those five blocks gave Bailey a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Josiah Rice, who went 5 of 11 en route to 15 points in addition to six boards and three steals.

Bunn was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Franklinton only racked up nine assists.

Franklinton lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Aiden Hemphill, who had 11 points. Another player making a difference was Chan Thomas, who earned seven points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Bunn's record now sits at 8-10. As for Franklinton, they now have a losing record at 9-10.

Bunn didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 57-49 loss against Southern Nash on the 4th. As for Franklinton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 61-58 defeat against Roanoke Rapids on the 3rd.
