Basketball Recap: Zyion Andrews Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Trinity Christian

Brentwood hadn't done well against Trinity Christian recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Brentwood War Eagles came out on top against the Trinity Christian Crusaders by a score of 68-56. Given the War Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 185th, while the Crusaders are ranked 524th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Brentwood's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zyion Andrews, who posted 17 points. That's the most points Andrews has posted since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Baylor Cobb, who earned 17 points.

The victory made it two in a row for Brentwood and bumps their season record up to 19-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.0 points over those games. As for Trinity Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-21.
