Softball Recap: Roxboro Community Comes Up Short

After flying high against Falls Lake last Wednesday, Roxboro Community came back down to earth. Roxboro Community fell just short of the Cedar Ridge Fighting Red Wolves by a score of 10-9 on Thursday. The Bulldogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Fighting Red Wolves earlier this season, when they won 15-10.

Roxboro Community's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Cedar Ridge, the victory made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 7-5.

The future could be bright for both Roxboro Community and Cedar Ridge: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Roxboro Community will try to hand Falls Lake their third-straight loss when the two meet at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Cedar Ridge will look to extend Williams' six-game losing streak when they meet at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
