Basketball Recap: Hagerstown Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Mackenzee Johnson and Bella Thalls

Hagerstown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a 48-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Anderson Prep Academy Jets.

Hagerstown's loss came despite strong showings from Bella Thalls and Mackenzee Johnson. Thalls went 5 for 11 on her way to 11 points and seven boards, while Johnson dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. The dominant performance gave Johnson a new career-high in rebounds.

Hagerstown's defeat dropped their record down to 1-20. As for Anderson Prep Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-9 record this season.

Hagerstown wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 68-35 loss against Union City on the 31st. Anderson Prep Academy has also already played their next contest (against Randolph Southern), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
