Dynamic duo of Heaven Walker and Mariah Reid lead Beach to victory

Recap: Beach Bulldogs vs. Groves Rebels
The Beach Bulldogs won the last time they faced the Groves Rebels, and things went their way on Saturday too. Beach was the clear victor by a 49-24 margin over Groves.
Leading Beach to victory were Heaven Walker and Mariah Reid. Walker scored eight points along with 16 rebounds and five steals, while Reid scored 28 points along with three steals. That makes it 19 consecutive games in which Reid has scored at least a third of Beach's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashley Jones, who scored seven points along with four steals.
Beach's victory bumped their record up to 11-12. As for Groves, they are on a 22-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-22.
Beach and Long County will face off at 6:00 p.m. on February 6th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Beach focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Saturday. As for Groves, they and Savannah Christian will face off at 5:30 p.m. on February 6th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Groves is coming into the contest with 13 straight defeats on the road, meaning Savannah Christian will have to defend against a squad hungry for a victory.
