Softball Recap: Polson's Undefeated Season over After Eight Games

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last five contests, Polson finally came back down to earth on Tuesday. They fell 7-2 to the Frenchtown Broncs. The game marked the Pirates' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Samantha Rensvold was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one double.

Having lost for the first time this season, Polson fell to 6-1-1. As for Frenchtown, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Polson will host Glacier at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Frenchtown, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Butte Central Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
