Basketball Recap: North Central Extends Winning Streak to Six

North Central had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.2 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Tuesday. They took down the Aberdeen Christian Knights 49-33. That's more bragging rights for the Thunder, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

North Central has also been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. As for Aberdeen Christian, they dropped their record down to 0-16 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight at home.

North Central and Aberdeen Christian could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps South Dakota Rankings. North Central (ranked 92nd) will meet Lyman (ranked 14th) at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Similarly, Aberdeen Christian will square off against Northwestern Area at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday down 114 places (159 vs. 45).
