Soccer Game Preview: Berkley vs. West Bloomfield

The Berkley Bears will take on the West Bloomfield Lakers at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Berkley's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

On Saturday, Berkley and Mona Shores finished up on equal footing with a 0-0 draw.

Meanwhile, after soaring to five goals the game before, West Bloomfield was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They came up short against North Farmington, falling 7-1. While losing is never fun, West Bloomfield can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan soccer rankings (they are ranked 346th, while North Farmington are ranked 161st).

Berkley's draw gives them a new season record of 8-4-4. As for West Bloomfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.

Berkley came out on top in a nail-biter against West Bloomfield in their previous meeting back in May of 2019, sneaking past 2-1. Do the Bears have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lakers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
