Baseball Recap: Montezuma Comes Up Short

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last five times Montezuma and Keota have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Friday. The Braves fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 3-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 back in May.

Montezuma's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Keota, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-7.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Montezuma is set to square off against their familiar foe North Mahaska at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Keota will face off against rival Colfax-Mingo at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
