Soccer Recap: Independence Comes Up Short

Independence had to start their season on the road on Thursday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They lost 5-0 to the Mt. Pleasant Tigers. The Knights were probably out for revenge after losing 2-0 to them when the teams met back in January of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Mt. Pleasant now has a winning record of 1-0-1.

Independence wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Jefferson on the 3rd. As for Mt. Pleasant, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 5-0 win against Lebanon Trail on the 3rd.
