Game recap: Katella High School Football Team beats Costa Mesa

COSTA MESA, Calif. - Katella (Anaheim, Calif.) snapped the six-game winning streak of Costa Mesa (Calif.), with a 35-21 victory on Saturday.

After taking the lead on a touchdown pass by Ricardo Armenta in the second quarter, the Knights were up 14-7 at the half.

By the end of the third, Katella found itself trailing by 12 points as the Mustangs captured the lead thanks to two scores in the quarter. Costa Mesa scored on a touchdown pass by Ferris Oliver to Bell Quinton and a touchdown in the quarter.

The defeat comes as a step back for Costa Mesa, which notched a 56-30 victory over Laguna Beach in its previous outing. With the win KHS extended its winning streak to three games.
