There's no place like home for Lyons, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They blew past the Downers Grove North Trojans 11-4 on Tuesday. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 15 games by six runs or more this season.

Mercer Krantz looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Luke Nicholaus, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Lou Ratcliffe, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Lyons pushed their record up to 19-8 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Downers Grove North, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 22-6 record.

Lyons will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Trojans: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
