Recap: Brewbaker Tech Rams vs. Varsity Opponent
The Brewbaker Tech Rams waltzed into their matchup on Friday with three straight wins but they left with four. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Varsity Opponent 68-9 at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Brewbaker Tech has posted since December 1, 2023.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Brewbaker Tech to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jillian Baine, who scored 16 points along with seven assists and three steals. Baine has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Erin Martin, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Brewbaker Tech's victory bumped their record up to 11-12. As for Varsity Opponent, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost 17 of their last 19 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 93-329 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Brewbaker Tech and Demopolis will face off at 1:00 p.m. on January 22nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Varsity Opponent won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Petoskey on January 20th.
