If Western Reserve wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Springfield, they should've done a better job of containing Jameka Brungard. The Springfield Tigers had just enough and edged the Western Reserve Blue Devils out 43-41 thanks in part to Brungard, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. Her evening made it six games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.
The victory got Springfield back to even at 7-7. As for Western Reserve, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-4.
Springfield will head out on the road to take on Jackson-Milton at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. Springfield is facing Jackson-Milton at the right time seeing as Jackson-Milton is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Western Reserve, they will host Columbiana at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
