Softball Recap: Schaumburg Takes a Loss

Schaumburg fell victim to Glenbrook North and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Spartans, falling 9-0. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Saxons' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Schaumburg saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Taylor Dolecki, who went 2-for-3 with one triple.

Schaumburg's loss dropped their record down to 10-16. As for Glenbrook North, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 19-12.

Coming up, Schaumburg is taking a road trip to square off against New Trier at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Trevians' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Saxons' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Glenbrook North, they will face off against Palatine at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
