Football Recap: Hillside Turns Things Around After Road Loss + How To Watch

There's no place like home for Hillside, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They snuck past the Scotch Plains-Fanwood Raiders with a 17-12 win on Saturday. The Comets have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Raiders, too.

Logan Weiss and Daniel McArdle certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Weiss threw for 148 yards and two TDs while completing 78.6% of his passes, while McArdle picked up 87 receiving yards.

The victory got Hillside back to even at 2-2. As for Scotch Plains-Fanwood, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Looking ahead, Hillside will venture away from home to square off against Somerville at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Pioneers' defense has only allowed 14.5 points per game this season, so the Comets' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Scotch Plains-Fanwood, they will be playing at home against Carteret at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
