Baseball Recap: Ash Fork/Seligman Has No Trouble Against St. Michael

Ash Fork/Seligman won the last time they faced St. Michael and things went their way on Monday too. Ash Fork/Seligman was the clear victor by a 14-4 margin over St. Michael. Considering the Spartans have won three contests by more than nine runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Branson Milius made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 2-for-4. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Josue Tellez was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Jesus Ayala was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Ash Fork/Seligman kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive games.

Ash Fork/Seligman now has a winning record of 3-2. As for St. Michael, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Ash Fork/Seligman beat St. Michael by a score of 15-5 later that day.
