Baseball Recap: Northshore's Winning Streak Snapped at 13 Games

It was a good run, but Northshore unfortunately witnessed the end of their 13-game winning streak on Thursday. They came up short against the Slidell Tigers, falling 7-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Panthers have suffered since March 2, 2024.

Northshore got a good showing from Ethan Freeman, who didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. Freeman has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

Northshore's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 30-5-1. As for Slidell, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-10 record this season.

Northshore will venture away from home to challenge E.D. White at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Slidell, they will face off against St. Thomas Aquinas at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
