Softball Recap: Tidewater Academy Warriors vs. Kenston Forest Kavaliers
Tidewater Academy extended their losing streak to six on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 1-11 in the process. They came up short against the Kenston Forest Kavaliers, falling 19-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Kavaliers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 back in March.
As for Kenston Forest, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-5. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 contests by six runs or more this season.
For Kenston Forest's part, Brooklyn Thomas was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out seven over four innings pitched. Thomas has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kelsey Marshall, who fired off two home runs, four runs, and four RBI while going 3-for-3.
