Nicolet took a 21-point loss the last time they faced off against Whitefish Bay, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Knights pulled ahead with a 29-28 photo finish over the Blue Dukes on Friday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Knights as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

Whitefish Bay's loss came despite strong showings from Kaden Kelly and Lateef Love. Kelly rushed for 102 yards and one TD, while Love rushed for 86 yards and one score.

Nicolet's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 3-5. As for Whitefish Bay, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-5.

Coming up, Nicolet will square off against West Bend East at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Knights will be up against the Suns' rather soft defense (which has allowed 40.25 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Whitefish Bay, they will take on Hartford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
