Soccer Game Preview: Columbia vs. Albany

The Columbia Blue Devils will face off against the Albany Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Columbia is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of New York's top teams: Bethlehem Central, who was ranked eighth at the time (Columbia was ranked second). Neither the Blue Devils nor the Eagles could gain the upper hand on Thursday so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw. The result (or lack thereof) marked Columbia's first draw of the season.

Meanwhile, Albany can bid farewell to their three-match losing streak thanks to their match on Saturday. They played to a draw too, finishing 2-2 against Saratoga Springs.

Columbia's draw gives them a new season record of 8-0-1. As for Albany, they moved theirs to 1-4-3.

Columbia took their win against Albany in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 6-0 score. Will the Blue Devils repeat their success, or do the Falcons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
