Football Recap: Palisade Takes Down Timnath in a Playoff Battle + How To Watch

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Palisade walked away with it. They skirted past the Timnath Cubs 27-24. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bulldogs have posted since August 30, 2024.

Dylon Larson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 135 yards and one score on only seven carries. His longest rush was for an incredible 83 yards. Cade Carter was another key back, rushing for 121 yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Palisade was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 348 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 159 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Despite the loss, Timnath still got an impressive performance from Drew Raymond, who threw for 212 yards and three TDs.

Palisade's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-2. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 39.8 points over those games. As for Timnath, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.

Coming up, Palisade will welcome Roosevelt at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Bulldogs 13.3, the Roughriders 14.5) so any points scored will be well earned. Timnath does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
