Volleyball Recap: Lee's Summit West Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Lee's Summit West can now relate to. They lost 3-0 to the Lee's Summit North Broncos on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Broncos this season, with their most recent loss being a 3-0 defeat two weeks ago.

Tori Massengill paced Lee's Summit West's offense, picking up 12 kills. Massengill got some help from Jaelyn Jordan and her 20 assists. Jordan also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Andi Gardner, each putting up two.

Lee's Summit West's loss dropped their record down to 25-6. As for Lee's Summit North, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-7 record this season.

Lee's Summit West does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lee's Summit North, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Park Hill at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
