Volleyball Recap: Emmaus Beats Northampton for Their Tenth Straight Win

Emmaus strolled into their game on Thursday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Northampton Konkrete Kids. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Hornets also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-18, 25-10, 21-25, 25-15.

Lucas Mondin paced Emmaus' offense, picking up 14 kills. Mondin got some help from Ben Skekel and his 30 assists. Skekel was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.

Emmaus' win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-0. As for Northampton, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 3-4.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Emmaus will take on rival Louis E. Dieruff at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Northampton is set to face off against their familiar foe Bethlehem Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
