Marion hadn't done well against Iowa City recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Wolves came out on top against the Little Hawks by a score of 9-5. For the Wolves, this counts as revenge for the 13-5 victory the Little Hawks walked away with the last time they faced one another back in July of 2025.

The win made it two in a row for Marion and bumps their season record up to 11-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 5 runs in those games. As for Iowa City, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-9.
