Softball Recap: Columbia City's Run of Four Straight Wins Now Over

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Columbia City can now relate to. They fell 5-0 to the Hanover Central Wildcats on Saturday. The Eagles' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Emma Hiss spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and one unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances.
