Football Recap: Beddingfield Takes a Loss

Beddingfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 61-8 loss at the hands of the Kinston Vikings.

Kinston's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tyler Jones led the charge by throwing for 253 yards and five touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes. Tyreek Copper was Jones' top target, picking up 115 receiving yards and three TDs.

Beddingfield's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Kinston, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Beddingfield will take on Greene Central at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Kinston, they will square off against Tarboro at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Kinston will need to watch out since Tarboro has now posted at least 31 points in their last five contests.
