Basketball Recap: Lake Country Christian Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Lake Country Christian can now relate to. They took a 75-65 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pantego Christian Panthers on Friday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (55), the Eagles still had to take the loss.

Pantego Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Evan Jackson out in front who went 5-for-12 en route to 18 points and six assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Aj Brooks, who went 7-for-10 to rack up 17 points.

Lake Country Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 17-14. As for Pantego Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won 12 of their last 15 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 21-13 record this season.

Lake Country Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pantego Christian, they will head out to take on McKinney Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. McKinney Christian Academy will roll in looking for their 19th straight victory, something Pantego Christian surely won't give up without a fight.
