Baseball Recap: Piketon Takes a Loss

Piketon made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Adena, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Redstreaks fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 4-2 on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Redstreaks have suffered against the Warriors since April 30, 2018.

Piketon has been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 14 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13-1 record this season. As for Adena, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-11.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Piketon will head out to square off against Chillicothe at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Adena, they will venture away from home to challenge Zane Trace at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. The Pioneers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so the Warriors' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
