Football Recap: Alief Hastings Comes Up Short

Alief Hastings fell victim to Fulshear and their airtight defense on Thursday. They were beaten by the Chargers 37-0. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 623rd, while the Chargers are ranked 128th).

It was another big night for Shaan Patel, who threw for 305 yards and three touchdowns for Fulshear. Patel's passing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 305 passing yards.

This is the second loss in a row for Alief Hastings and nudges their season record down to 1-5. As for Fulshear, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-2.

Alief Hastings has already played their next matchup, a 34-13 loss against Alief Taylor on the 9th. As for Fulshear, they will head out to take on Foster at 2:00 p.m. on the 11th. The Chargers will be up against the Falcons' rather soft defense (which has allowed 35.6 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
