Volleyball Recap: Destrehan's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Thursday

After flying high against West Jefferson on Wednesday, Destrehan came back down to earth. The Wildcats took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Live Oak Eagles on Thursday. The Wildcats' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

While Destrehan had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 20 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-20, 20-25, 25-22.

Destrehan's loss dropped their record down to 8-15. As for Live Oak, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 17-10 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Destrehan will take on Thibodaux at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Live Oak, they will head out to challenge Springfield at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
